“When you get married I will crochet you doilies too,” whispered ninety-five year-old Great Grandma Nielsen to twelve year-old me. I remember thinking that she thought she was going to live a very long time. While she died well before I married, I didn’t miss out on her crocheted doilies. I found a boxful in Mom’s attic.
How nice! What a wonderful find.

The doilies in the slideshow are all used, but not by me. Clare took them all to Olympia. Mine are mostly still in the box which is under a bed.
I doubt I will use many since Dean doesn’t like doilies.

How great that Clare wanted them.

Nice–I’m used to standard white doilies so some of these look pretty wild. Go great granny!
