First it was cherries, June 2016 — my lips, throat and tongue began to itch, then peaches in July — same symptoms. I tried apricots, nectarines, and plums in August and they all caused the same reaction. While really just a nuisance, it feels like a tragedy to me because stone fruit is my favorite kind of fruit.
I don’t blame you. This business of acquiring allergies as an adult isn’t fair!

That’s just not fair. Could it be pesticides? Have you tried organic to compare?

Not methodically, but I am certain some of the fruit was organic.
I have pollen allergies and I have heard that they might be related.
I will experiment this summer. Thanks for the tip.

This is a tragedy! I have a friend who seems to be developing allergies to apples and pears, and for some reason to the potato peels.
