125/365 Italian Beef

Some say, “It’s just a French Dip.” But those of us who have lived near Chicago know better. An Italian Beef is spicier and must be served on soft Italian rolls (Gonnella if possible). It needs sport peppers but, please, no cheese. Sadly, it’s rarely found outside the Chicago area.

    • I have a really good recipe for this but it’s the slicing of the meat that’s in the most difficult part. I keep threatening Dean that I’m going to buy a meat slicer but he’s never really happy about that.

  1. I have no idea what a french dip is, so I’m sold! Though shouldn’t it be called Chicago Beef, because you’d never find it in Italy?
