Because my life plan was to teach in England after I married Jeremy I was delighted to find out that my college offered a student teaching opportunity in London. After spending Christmas in Yorkshire, I traveled to London to do a teaching practice with young primary grade students through Southlands College.
I arrived in England a teetotaling vegetarian, broke up with Jeremy, fell in love with Tim, got to know London very well, danced, drank, lived, hitchhiked in Ireland and England, taught, learned, then returned to the US as a non-vegetarian focused on having a good time.
And I did.
